In Less Than 30 Minutes, I Discovered...
1.) Encouragement for technology in the classroom:
I found this quote by Amy Mayer (July 1, 2012) here after following @FriEdTechnology on Twitter. Amy says, "It's okay not to know. It's okay for your students to know more than you. Learn together." I love this because I don't consider myself a "techie," but it makes me realize even I can incorporate technology into my classroom successfully.
2.) Steven W. Anderson @web20classroom tweeted this on October 22, 2017:
"The Kids' Guide to Google Search" (5/28/2014) has some clever shortcuts for students to search faster and smarter. My favorite is to add a minus sign before any word that you don't want to show up in a search.
3.) @WeAreTeachers tweeted about this open-desk policy on October 22, 2017

"I’ll Never Regret Letting Students Go Through My Desk Drawers" (by Stacey Ebert, 10/16/17) explains how letting students have access to items in her desk such as band-aids, hygiene products, sewing kit, mirror, extra clothing items, etc. lessened economic barriers, and made life easier. This makes me want to have a stocked desk and open-drawer policy in my future classroom.
